ALPINE

Family- and child friendly. The majority of the slopes at Kvitfjell are made to satisfy the family and with areas dedicated to the kids of any age and experience. Kvitfjell has become a popular place but far from over-crowded. You may know Kvitfjell from the Olympics and World Cup and believe Kvitfjell only have the steapest slopes? True, but Kvitfjell is today the resort in Scandinavia with the largest variety of slopes – from the very friendly children areas, to family friendly slopes and the really black ones. We can guarantee that you will find the right challenge independent of age and experience.

CROSS COUNTRY

Kvitfjell is known for alpine but with a net of 400km of cross-country slopes. Kvitfjell is connected with Skeikampen, Gåla something that gives you a superb network of cross-country. Please do not hesitate to contact the reception who will help you to find a nice route for the day.

SKI CROSS

In 2008 Kvipe which has become very popular. You have the start gate and down the 650 meter you can challenge your friends, competitors or own skills. Enjoy the thrill of riding down hopefully beating your opponent. Skicross is a fast growing sport which is on at the olympics in Vancouver in 2010.

SKI SCHOOL

Kvitfjell ski school’s lessons are designed to take your skiing or riding to the next level. We’ll match a certified instructor to your learning style, desired pace, and goals. Each instructor is chosen to provide the maximum service and quality experience for you and your family. Private and group lessons are available for adults and children. TRAINING

Kvitfjell is known to be one of the best facilities for alpineteams in this country. In Kvitfjell you will find for example Norways nationalfacility for speed diciplines, where the teams train at set hours separated from the public and open 3 evenings a week before christmas. The facility has its own training coordinator which supports the teams with planning!

KIDS AT KVITFJELL

It is fun to be a child at Kvitfjell. In the children area there is a lot to do also when the skies need to rest. You can take your parents or grandparents for a break in Bamsebo, the kids own hot-room. Here you can watch a movie whilst warming your hands and feet. On the westside of Kvitfjell you will find another area dedicated for the children where you can rest your legs in an iglo with straw seatings. It might very well happen that you will meet our cosy bear named Kvitfjell Bamsen – a large teddy bear whilst you are skiing.

TERRAIN PARK

In our terrain park you can try jumps at any size or slide the rails destroying your skies – it is up to you.
